Google reader

What is it?
  • Google Reader is a Web-based aggregator, capable of reading Atom and RSS feeds online or offline. In plain terms, it's a place where you can have information sent to you without all the extra information you don't care about.

How can you use it?
  • Currently in my school we are getting ready to follow the Olympics, posting medal results for countries and athletes. A feed could be set up so that we can receive this information as it occurs to easily update our medal charts.
Why would you use it?
  • Following current events is an obvious plus for using Google reader in any classroom.
  • Include standards (NETS and 21st Century Skills)
